Hello, I use Openandromaps and the Elements theme with Locus.
Classic. Unfortunately, hiking paths are almost not visible on the map at lower zoom levels (Iceland map). My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10+. How can I increase the hiking path width or increase the level details at lower zoom levels? ThanksAugust 18, 2024 at 22:06 #56358sylvaing3110ParticipantI use the Elements theme with Locus Classic. The map looks great and detailed to me. I have no complain. I only wish there would be a setting that I could switch on or off to make hiking paths more visible at lower zoom levels, i.e. increased hiking path width (maybe an overlay or other setting). I think a more visible hiking path at lower zoom levels would make it easier to plan a long hike (no need to zoom in to clearly see the path). Any suggestion is welcome. Thanks

Hiking routes should be well visible, paths are difficult – because there are a lot of paths that aren’t hiking paths, and if rendered thicker at low zoom levels like 9/10 they would overlap a lot in Iceland too in some areas.

Not sure why but paths are now clearly visible at zoom level 9 and 10 in Locus Classic (no concern about hiking routes). I agree with your comment. Better keep a thin path width than loosing details in areas where many paths. Thanks
